Terms of Service

Effective date: 3 October 2026 · Last updated: 4 October 2026

The short version. Try Genie free for 30 days. If you keep it, it's $25 a year, renewing automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account page — Genie keeps working until the end of the year you paid for. Changed your mind? Ask for a full refund within 14 days of any payment.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Genie plus AI, a sole proprietorship ("Genie", "we", "us"), the maker of the Genie app for Mac and the website genieplus.me. By downloading or using Genie, or creating an account here, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Genie. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. Your licence to use Genie

3. Free trial

Each Mac gets one free 30-day trial, with every feature included. It starts the first time you open Genie and needs an internet connection once. No account or payment is needed. When the trial ends, Genie asks for a key.

4. Price, payment and renewal

5. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time: go to your account page and choose Manage subscription. Cancelling stops future renewals; Genie keeps working until the end of the year you've already paid for. You can turn renewal back on before then. Deleting your account cancels your subscription straight away.

6. Refunds

If you're not happy, you can get a full refund within 14 days of any payment — your first purchase or a yearly renewal — no questions asked. After 14 days, payments aren't refundable, except where the law where you live says otherwise. Our Refund Policy explains how to ask and what happens next, and is part of these terms.

7. Your AI provider

Genie works with an AI service that you choose (such as Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude or OpenAI) using your own API key. Your use of that service is between you and its provider, under their terms. Any charges from your AI provider are yours to pay and are separate from your Genie subscription. AI answers can be wrong — please check anything important before relying on it.

8. Using Genie responsibly

Genie can act on your Mac when you ask it to — reading, typing, clicking and sending things on your behalf. You're responsible for the tasks you give it and the actions you approve, including anything you let it do automatically. Don't use Genie to break the law, to harm others, to access accounts or data you're not allowed to, or to send spam.

9. Updates and changes

We improve Genie over time, which can mean adding, changing or removing features. If we ever stop offering Genie altogether, we'll give you notice and refund the unused part of your subscription.

10. No warranty

We work hard to make Genie reliable, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be error-free, always available, or suitable for any particular purpose.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost data, profits or business), and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Genie in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

12. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Genie at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms; if we do so without a good reason, we'll refund the unused part of your subscription.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you're a consumer, you also keep any protections given to you by the laws of the country where you live.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and if the changes are important we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree with the new terms, you can cancel before then.
